Meet David

David’s experience with trees began at a young age. In 4th and 5th grade, his school in Maine pulled him out of class for tree work to raise money for the school’s library. He hauled pulpwood from the school grounds to a nearby railroad station, where it was taken to a paper mill. The pulpwood, if not cut down, would go bad and fall down – so it was a good moneymaker. In the 6th grade, David received his first chainsaw, a gift from his father to cut down pulpwood on their own property. He planted white birch seedlings – a high dollar wood – every Sunday, and as a teen, worked for one of the largest private landowners in Maine, HC Haynes. After forays into entrepreneurship, David moved to North Carolina. There, he formally began his professional training – arborist training, rigging school, learning how to cut trees around houses, and most of all, learning from others in the field.

Today, David is passionate about doing the right thing for the people who call him. He is a warm, friendly person who is happy to help where he can.
